Joey is it 2012 registered quarter horse bay gelding. 14.3 hands. Joey is out of an own daughter of Reminic and his grand sire is Smart Chic Olena. We started Joey in March 2015. He was an easy horse to start and it seemed that not much phased him at all from dragging a gunnysack of cans to bridges and jumps. As his training has progressed over the summer he is showing some big talent as a cow horse. Heather took Joey to a 2 day cow horse clinic in Baker City Oregon the first of August. We had a great time and came home with the biggest prize of the weekend. Joey was the winner of the nicest cow horse award of the clinic! From playing with the real cows to working the flag to our dry work Joey didn't miss a beat all weekend! Joey has a lot to offer to someone looking to be in the show pen but also on the trail or with the family. Joey is sliding, spinning, changing leads, and rolling back. His dry work is impressive and so is his cow work. He was one of the easiest horses I have ever trained for flying lead changes. Joey also shows a lot of trail sense and has been very sure footed on the trail or on the trail challenge course. We have schooled him over a few trail challenge courses for fun and he is super willing to do anything we ask and he is slow and timely through all obsticles. He was been hauled around all summer to jumping shows and rodeos so he is already pretty well versed in traveling.  Joey will be ready for the show pen in the spring with very little work. This fall my 7 year old has decided to start jumping Joey to get ready for the winter jumping series. The video below was Joey's first day jumping!  With only 2 weeks under saddle my 7 year old is jumping 2'3" courses. He is careful and rarely takes a rail. Calm and consistant with beautiful knees.

Congradulations Angela, John, and Kylie!
