Blue

Blue is a 2009 Blue Roan Appendix gelding. He stands at 16 hands. We rescued him in January 2014. He was thin and only halter broke. He is doing awesome and has been one of the easiest horses we have started under saddle. Blue is easy going and I would say a little on the lazy side. He doesn't get bothered by much at all and is just a good solid horse. Blue clips, bathes, hauls, and ties perfectly. He has tons of show miles both english and western. He is sound and we have had no issues with lameness. Blue has been used for 3 day eventing and jumper shows as well as with our western drill team and mounted shooting.

Jumping -  Blue is not spooky over fences and never over jumps.  He has competed in 3 day eventing and derbies in 2015 at Novice level or 2' 11'.  We have been to Ogden Utah and Enterprise Oregon and local shows such as the Boise Pony Club Show, Wasatch, and An Event Barn. Blue has very solid and consistent movement naturally. Even though Blue has bee used in the eventing world we think he would be great in the hunter ring. Blue has been schooling and is ready to move up to training level eventing in the Spring 2016, but we would love to see if we can find him a home that would be 3 foot jumping or under. Blue is solid in all 3 gates and has started some work on flying lead changes. This fall we have leased him to a 10 year old girl that is just starting to jump. With only 2 weeks together they are already jumping 2'3" courses and are going to be showing in a winter jump series once a month starting in November.

Western - On the western side of things he is starting his second year of drill team with "The Gold Dust Gang". He is great with other horses and will easily " move" another horse into position without blinking an eye! Never cranky to his rider or other horses. Blue has an awesome slow trot that you can ride for hours. He would be great at western pleasure and 4H. He is also very good around children and is very broke and safe to ride for almost any rider level. We have used him for beginner horse lesson and would be great for a senior person who needs something solid and smooth to ride.  We have also done some mounted shooting on Blue. He has never competed in mounted shooting but would be ready within a month or less to be competing.

Congraduations to Todd, Cierra, and Sherrie!
